Whitley, UK, September 5 2014 ‑ Land Rover's sponsorship of the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games TM is in full flow as the Games reach their climax in France this weekend.  The fleet of 75 vehicles provided by Land Rover, who are also the Official Vehicle of the world's biggest equestrian event, are being used by the organisers across the region as it plays host to 500,000 spectators.

Team GBR is currently sitting at the top of the medal table, followed by Germany and the Netherlands, but there are still some final medals up for grabs over the coming days.

As part of their sponsorship, Land Rover, who are long term investors in equestrian sport around the world, have hosted hundreds of spectators in the Land Rover Experience zone within the Games Village featuring a twin terrapod which test the capabilities of the vehicles, Owners' hospitality area and driving experiences for younger fans. The area has been popular with visitors from all around the world who are attending the event to witness the world's greatest riders from over 70 nations compete in eight different disciplines.

One of the highlights of the Games for many was the eventing competition, particularly the cross country last Saturday hosted at the picturesque Haras du Pin.  One of the most popular days of the two week event, the cross country course saw a number of Land Rover vehicles integrated into the obstacles.  As a unique competition prize, Land Rover also offered two fans the chance to sit in one of the course vehicles to experience the very best 'seat in the house' at the Games.
