Australian and Argentinian legends give their thoughts ahead of the huge clash between rivals New Zealand and Australia

Phil Waugh and Manu Contepomi give their post‑match thoughts after Australia defeated Argentina in another thrilling semi‑final:

Contepomi commented,

"I think Australia deserved their win, they were very clinical when they reached the twenty‑two they scored and they were very good at the breakdown. Argentina did well but there were a few mistakes in the first half and they couldn't score at the end of the first half (after that) I think that was game over."

Waugh commented,

"The best two teams in the world are playing against each other. To have the All Blacks against the Wallabies in a World Cup final for the first time ever is going to be an enormous final."

And Waugh think the forward line will determine the outcome next weekend:

"Whoever wins the scrum is going to set the team up for the win, it's going to be a huge contest there and of course the breakdown, whoever wins that clash will open it up for the backs and both teams have great attacking backlines."
