- Land Rover becomes first company to sponsor Rugby World Cup and Wheelchair Rugby World Championships
- Extended support begins at 2018 Wheelchair Rugby World Championships in Sydney
- Land Rover is a Worldwide Partner of the Rugby World Cup 2019™ in Japan
The new deal began at the 2018 GIO IWRF Wheelchair Rugby World Championships in Australia, where Japan beat the hosts in the gold medal match at the Olympic Park in Sydney. It was the largest elite sporting event for athletes with a disability to be held in the city since the 2000 Paralympic Games, with teams from Canada, Colombia, Denmark, France, Great Britain, Ireland, New Zealand, Poland, Sweden and the USA also competing.
Land Rover has supported rugby globally for many years and so it is fitting that we are the first company to be a Worldwide Partner of both these pinnacle events.
