JOHN BESWICK

John was appointed the new role of Chief Transformation and Performance Officer, JLR in November 2024. John is responsible for leading the implementation of JLR’s strategy throughout the organisation, through team alignment and collaboration. 

John joins JLR from Great Ormond Street Hospital where he was Chief Financial Officer, leading commercial, finance, technology and assurance teams.   

Prior to this, John spent two decades at BT Group PLC in senior leadership roles driving exemplary customer experiences and creating innovative products and services.  In his role as CFO of BT Technology, John was responsible for all financial, commercial and risk activities for BT Group’s technology organisation, including R&D, across the globe.  

A chartered engineer and chartered accountant by background, John spent the early years of his career as a product and process engineer in the semiconductor industry at GEC Plessey and Siemens Microelectronics, before working for Deloitte in their TMT practice, and then taking up a number of senior leadership roles at BT Group PLC. John is an advocate for lifelong learning and has served as a Non‑Executive at Bournemouth University, NHS Dorset and Mobile Broadband Network Limited.
