- Land Rover announces new partnership with the Event Rider Masters
- Partnership further strengthens Land Rover’s long‑term support of equestrian sport
- Olympic silver medallist Zara Tindall aims to compete alongside fellow Land Rover ambassadors Harry Meade and Sir Mark Todd
Land Rover has today expanded its long‑term support of equestrian sport by announcing a new partnership with the Event Rider Masters series.
Land Rover will be Official Vehicle Partner of the Event Rider Masters (ERM), which heads to France for the first time this weekend for the fourth leg of the 2017 series at Haras de Jardy, near Paris. The world’s leading all‑terrain vehicle manufacturer will transport vets, doctors, officials and stewards around ERM events, as horses and riders battle it out for the coveted Masters title.
Land Rover has long been synonymous with equestrian sport – in particular Eventing – so this is a natural progression for us to join forces with the Event Rider Masters.
The ERM series is an exciting and innovative competition, but at the same time it hasn’t lost any of the heritage and traditional values of the sport. At Land Rover, we completely relate to this concept – we share a love for innovation balanced with tradition and are excited to come on board at such an early stage.

Jaguar Land Rover Experiential Marketing Director
The Event Rider Masters is a new CIC three‑star series, where the world’s highest‑rated riders and horses compete for record prize money of £400,000. Last year the inaugural ERM featured six legs in the UK but this year it has increased to seven legs and expanded into Europe with competitions in Germany and France.
As we expand the ERM series internationally, it is fantastic to welcome Land Rover into our family of hugely supportive partners. Their history and understanding of the sport of eventing, together with their drive for excellence and continually pushing the boundaries of engineering and technology, is a perfect fit for ERM. Our plans to grow into the US and Asia mirror their business, and with competitors and therefore TV audiences tuning in from around the world, this is a partnership that we are very excited about.

Commercial Director of Event Rider Masters
Britain’s Oliver Townend was crowned the ERM series champion last year, with Jonelle Price (NZ) second and Paul Tapner (AUS) third. Land Rover ambassador Zara Tindall is a supporter of the series.
Tindall, who finished third at the Rolex Kentucky Three‑Day Event presented by Land Rover with High Kingdom at the end of April, said: “The Event Rider Masters is a really exciting new concept for eventing and it is great news that Land Rover has partnered the event given their long‑term involvement with the sport. The innovative format and involvement of the leading riders will hopefully attract new audiences around the world.”
Land Rover continues to support several equestrian events, including the Festival of British Eventing, (4–6 August) and the pinnacle of the eventing season, the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials, on 31 August – 3 September.
