The Jaguar I‑PACE has been named ‘Best Electric Vehicle’ at the first ever DrivingElectric Awards. Since its introduction in March the I‑PACE has notched up more than 20 major global awards, including German Car of the Year and Sunday Times Car of the Year, for its smart electric powertrain and cutting‑edge design.
Two Jaguar electric motors, producing 400PS and 696Nm, allow I‑PACE to deliver all‑wheel‑drive sports car performance, with 0‑60mph taking just 4.5 seconds. State‑of‑the‑art lithium‑ion batteries allow for a range of 292 miles (WLTP), with a 0‑80% charge taking just 85 minutes from a 50kW outlet.
A suite of smart range‑optimising technology is fitted as standard, including a battery pre‑conditioning system: when plugged in the I‑PACE will automatically raise (or lower) the temperature of its battery to maximise range ahead of driving away.
The DrivingElectric Awards are judged by the expert editorial team behind all‑new consumer‑focused electric vehicle website drivingelectric.co.uk. Created by Dennis Publishing, the brand behind Auto Express and carbuyer.co.uk, DrivingElectric is designed to unravel the occasionally complicated world of hybrid, plug‑in hybrid and electric motoring.
The Jaguar I‑PACE is available to order now, priced from £59,995 (including government incentives) at www.jaguar.co.uk.
