Gaydon, UK, 26th April, 2019.  Land Rover UK today announces Olympic gold medallist Carl Hester MBE as the latest addition to its team of equestrian ambassadors, continuing the marque’s support from grassroots to the elite. Hester joins a string of talented riders including eventers Zara Tindall MBE, Sir Mark Todd and Harry Meade, show jumpers Nick Skelton and Ben Maher and fellow dressage rider and Paralympian Sir Lee Pearson CBE.

Hester has competed at 5 x Olympic Games, winning team Gold in London 2012 and team Bronze in Rio 2016.

It was an obvious choice for me, Land Rover does more for equestrian than any other automotive brand and gives me the capability, through any season of the year, to get on and do my job. I am excited to get involved and looking forward to being part of the Land Rover team.

Carl Hester MBE
Land Rover Equestrian Ambassador

Carl Hester is outstanding in the equestrian field and we relish the opportunity to work with such talent. We look forward to working with Carl and wish him every success this season.

Land Rover is principal partner of the Royal Windsor Horse Show where Hester will compete as a Land Rover ambassador for the first time. The show draws in many of the biggest international Dressage competitors and provides them with the opportunity to compete at the highest level on home turf.  This year Carl’s ride Nip Tuck owned by Jane de la Mare is back in action following some time off.  It is an exciting time ahead with the Europeans and Tokyo 2020 looming.

With over 30 years heritage in equestrian, Land Rover continues to be an avid supporter of the sport from grassroots to the elite.  This new partnership will help continue to support the sport both in the UK and around the world.
