October 19, 2021: Jaguar Land Rover has been named Most Improved Manufacturer at the Business Car Awards 2021. The expert judging panel was impressed by a greatly expanded range of hybrid and plug-in hybrid offerings and a focus on dedicated Fleet & Business customer support, leading to tangible and significant improvements in fleet performance. The Land Rover Discovery Sport was also named as the Best Premium Large SUV for its blend of practicality, strong residual values and electrified powertrains.

The Discovery Sport is just one of eight Jaguar or Land Rover models now available with a plug-in hybrid powertrain, from the Jaguar E-PACE to the Range Rover. The pioneering all-electric Jaguar I-PACE also continues to be a strong fleet performer, alongside a range of new Land Rover Commercial vehicles, including Defender Hardtop and Discovery Commercial.

Jaguar Land Rover has improved its fleet business offering to support its growing range of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, including an expanded Fleet & Business Centre network and improved collaboration with RV setters and risk managers. True fleet sales were up almost 30% in the first half of 2021.

Over the past year, Jaguar Land Rover has enhanced its dedicated support for Fleet & Business customers through the Jaguar Land Rover Business Centre support team and central Customer Experience Centre for Customer Service. Representation of Fleet & Business Centres has increased from 30 to 40 retailers in response to True Fleet demand, supported by comprehensive development of product training, finance and insurance, salary sacrifice and SME marketing activity.

Over 80 Key Accounts have added Jaguar and Land Rover to their policies during the past 12 months, including the NHS, Morgan Sindall, Capita and more.

Sustainable and responsible fleet growth is a hugely important part of our UK business, and we very deliberately focused on expanding our electrified offerings and fleet-specific customer support to achieve it. We’re proud to say we now have one of the most comprehensive plug-in hybrid line-ups in the premium sector, adding excellent Total Cost of Ownership figures into a formula that already includes style, luxury and technology. With a number of major fleet customer wins, alongside high-profile awards like this, we’re delighted to see the broader industry taking notice of our achievements.
