JLR ANNOUNCES UK LEADERSHIP TRANSITION AS PART OF GROWTH, REIMAGINED

  • JLR announces senior leadership appointments to support delivery of its growth ambitions as execution of the company’s Reimagine strategy continues.
  • Patrick McGillycuddy will step down as Managing Director, JLR UK, to take up the global role of Managing Director, Defender. He succeeds Mark Cameron, who will become CEO, North America, a newly created position.
  • Cian O'Brien succeeds Patrick as Managing Director, JLR UK, leading the business through a pivotal period that includes key new Range Rover launches and the continued transformation of the Jaguar brand.
  • The appointments reinforce JLR's Growth, Reimagined ambitions, positioning the company for continued growth across its House of Brands, strengthening its focus on North America and building momentum in its home market.

Patrick has led JLR UK since 2023, overseeing the business through a period of significant industry and economic headwinds, delivering the Reimagine strategy in the home market. Under his leadership, the business strengthened commercial performance across its House of Brands, enhanced the modern luxury client experience and deepened collaboration with retail partners, positioning JLR UK strongly for its next phase of growth.

Patrick McGillycuddy said:

Cian O'Brien, currently Market & Business Operations Director for JLR UK, brings extensive automotive leadership experience and a deep understanding of the UK market. Before joining JLR, he held a number of senior leadership roles within Volkswagen Group, including Managing Director of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles UK and Chief Operating Officer for Audi of America, giving him deep expertise across both retail operations and customer‑focused growth strategies. 

He will lead the UK business during a pivotal period as JLR continues the launch of new Range Rover Electric products and as well Jaguar’s Type 01 debut later this year.
