NEW LEASE OFFER TO BUILD ON LR4'S SALES MOMENTUM

05 April 2010

We knew our most capable 4x4 was capable of attracting the attention of America's luxury SUV buyers, writes Chris Marchand, Executive VP, Marketing & Sales, Land Rover North America.

That was shown last month when sales of our re‑powered, re‑engineered and refined 2010 LR4 increased by an impressive 100 per cent compared to March last year with the previous‑generation LR3.

And it wasn't just March that saw buyers turning to the LR4's remarkable capability ‑ its sales have been climbing month‑on‑month for the past six months straight.

Maybe this past winter, with its seemingly never‑ending snowstorms, torrential rains, floods and mudslides, reminded us why we need a vehicle that's capable of getting us to work, getting the kids to school, capable of coping with that unforeseen challenge.

Much of that capability in tackling extreme conditions comes from the LR4's award‑winning Terrain Response™ system. Here, at the twist of a switch, the vehicle' suspension and powertrain set‑up can be optimized to tackle everything from mud and ruts, to deep snow.

Then there's the LR4's increased power and muscular low‑end torque produced from its remarkable new 5.0‑liter direct‑injection V8 ‑ one of the most advanced engines ever built.

And while the previous LR3 never lacked for capability, what the LR4 adds is a new level of quality and refinement to deliver a much more premium look and feel to the cabin.

To turn up the heat on LR4's sales momentum now that the daffodils are starting to peek through, we've decided to show Land Rover's most capable SUV is also capable of delivering one of the best values.

So this week, we're introducing a nationally marketed $699‑a‑month lease, which is for 36 months with $2,995 down. That's a $1,000 drop in the signing payment, and a $40 reduction in the monthly payment.

Together with an MSRP of $48,100, including an $850 destination and delivery charge, it makes our 2010 LR4 a truly exceptional value.

To my mind, that's a small price to pay for so much capability.
