Brand taps into social photo community to select new talent for social media efforts in contest hosted on 500px
Land Rover North America is excited to announce the brand is heightening its presence on social media, most notably its Tumblr page, and who better to partner with than 500px? This is the photo community’s first time partnering with a major brand like Land Rover, and both brands couldn’t be more thrilled to work together. If you’re not familiar with 500px, it’s a community powered by creative people worldwide that lets people discover, share, buy and sell inspiring photographs. The innovative brands have created a contest for all Land Rover enthusiasts and 500px users, and the selected five winners will be the eyes behind Land Rover’s social media content for 2013.
Today, Land Rover USA invites the public through various social media efforts to enter the contest which will be hosted on 500px.com. To participate, each contestant will be asked to submit a photographic story that will fulfill a theme associated with the Land Rover brand’s “go anywhere” spirit and must tag each photograph with “Land Rover Story Challenge.”
The five winners will be announced on both the Land Rover USA and 500px communities in November, and will be invited to use a Land Rover vehicle from the 2013 lineup year for up to two weeks. Along with the opportunity to explore and create exquisite photographs for the Land Rover brand, the winners will also win a contract for $10,000 and travel expenses.
