JAGUAR LAND ROVER SUPPORTS PS ARTS' ANNUAL FUND RAISING EVENT, EXPRESS YOURSELF
17 November 2014
Yesterday, Jaguar Land Rover took part in P.S.ARTS’ signature fundraising event, 'Express Yourself,' a fun‑filled afternoon that allowed adults and children to experience the joy and creativity that more than 15,000 children discover every week in P.S. ARTS classrooms. The event had 1,100 attendees, including Heidi Klum, Julie Bowen and Mark Feuerstein.
Express Yourself featured various activity booths inside the Barker Hangar, where sponsors hosted a dynamic art activity that sparked inspiration and imagination, and gave families an opportunity to express themselves through drawing or painting. Jaguar Land Rover hosted a create‑your‑own license plate activity, where children decorated California license plates with markers featuring the colors of Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles such as Firenze Red, Nara Bronze, Firesand and Italian Racing Red. On display outside the Barker Hangar was a Range Rover Evoque SW1 Special Edition and F‑TYPE Convertible wrapped in a special Union‑Jack design, so guests could get a glimpse of the brands’ latest models.
Earlier this year, Jaguar Land Rover announced a one‑year grant to P.S. ARTS as part of its global Corporate Social Responsibility initiative. The non‑profit organization, is dedicated to improving the lives of children by providing arts education to underserved public schools and communities. The Express Yourself event raised $580,000 this year, which contributes to helping P.S. ARTS programs serve 20,000 students each week. Jaguar Land Rover’s donation supports the expansion of the program and provides arts resources for kids.
