Land Rover Is Official Vehicle Of The 2011 Columbia Muddy Buddy Ride And Run Series

MAHWAH, N.J., April 8, 2011 ‑  Land Rover Certified Pre‑Owned (CPO) is proud to announce its Official Vehicle Sponsorship of the 2011 Columbia Muddy Buddy Ride and Run Series.

The Land Rover sponsored series is held from April through December 2011 in eighteen cities across the U.S. Teams of two compete in the race where they work together to trade between mountain‑biking and trail runningthrough a six‑mile obstacle‑filled course. The expedition concludes with a custom built 50‑foot‑long mud pit that the pairs must crawl through together, hence the name, 'Muddy Buddy.'

Land Rover donates $1,000 per event to the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF), an organization that reaches out to those with physical disabilities by helping them pursue a more active lifestyle through physical fitness and competitive sports. Funds are also raised through donations via the CAF Muddy Buddy Challenge.  The goal for 2011 is to raise more than $50,000, and add to the $135,000 raised between 2008 and 2010.
