AS OFFICIAL VEHICLE OF THE USEF AND U.S. EVENTING TEAM, LAND
ROVER SPONSORS THE USEA AMERICAN EVENTING CHAMPIONSHIPS AT
CHATTAHOOCHEE HILLS
FAIRBURN, Ga., September 9, 2011 ‑ The United States Eventing
Association and Chattahoochee Hills Eventing Team at Bouckaert Farm
are proud to have
Land Rover as the returning Official Vehicle Sponsor for the 2011
Nutrena USEA American Eventing Championships, held Thursday, Sept.
8 ‑ 11, 2011 in Fairburn, Ga. Land Rover has created a
ride‑and‑drive that allows guests the opportunity to test drive
Land Rover's current model year vehicles ‑ with a driving
instructor ‑ on a purpose‑built off‑road course that highlights the
vehicles' extraordinary capabilities and demonstrates why Land
Rover reigns in the upper echelon of on‑ and off‑road performance.
The ride‑and‑drive is open during the Championships and is located
between the Grand Prix Arena and Cross‑Country Course.
"We are thrilled to have Land Rover as the official vehicle
sponsor for the Nutrena USEA American Eventing Championships for
the second year in a row," stated Carl Bouckaert, Landowner and
Honorary Chairman, Chattahoochee Hills Eventing AEC Operations.
"Having the Land Rover ride‑and‑ drive amplifies the guest
experience at this prestigious event and we are grateful for the
opportunity to welcome them back to Chattahoochee Hills Eventing at
Bouckaert Farm."
"Land Rover's sponsorship of the USEA American Eventing
Championships last year was a tremendous success and we're excited
to continue our support of this special event and the U.S. Eventing
Team," said Kim McCullough, Brand Vice President, Marketing, Land
Rover North America. "The nature of the three‑day event competition
requires a horse and rider combination to excel in more than one
discipline and we feel that this diversity aligns itself with the
multi faceted use of a Land Rover both on‑and
off‑road."
"The USEA is honored to have Land Rover as the official vehicle
sponsor of our American Eventing Championships. The Land Rover
brand is synonymous with quality and is very fitting for the high
caliber of competition that will be held at the Chattahoochee Hills
venue this year, " said Jo Whitehouse, CEO, USEA. "Land Rover has a
long tradition of supporting the sport of eventing in Great Britain
and we are delighted that are returning this year and again have
chosen to align themselves with our event."
Now in its eighth year, the popular Nutrena USEA American Eventing
Championships offers qualified USEA members of all ages and levels
the chance to compete in the only national championships of its
kind in the United States. Each September, hundreds of juniors,
adult amateurs, and professionals travel from all across the nation
to participate in this prestigious competition, vying for the
chance to win a piece of $100,000 in prize money and $50,000 in
fabulous prizes. Competitors range from junior Beginner Novice
riders to Preliminary adult amateurs and Olympians such as Leslie
Law, Phillip Dutton, and Karen O'Connor.
Chattahoochee Hills Eventing is located on 8,000 lush acres
located along the Chattahoochee River in the heart of South Atlanta
in Fairburn, Georgia. Rising to the challenge of putting on a first
class event, the Chattahoochee Hills team has been working non‑stop
since they were chosen by the USEA to host the AEC more than one
year ago.
