The Range Rover Evoque has been named Supreme Winner of the
Women's World Car of the Year 2012, as well as the top‑ranked model
in the luxury car category. This latest success sustains the
exceptional acclaim with which Evoque has been greeted around the
world, reflected in more than 110 separate honours.
The Women's World Car of the Year is judged by a panel of 17 women
motoring writers from around the world. Each vehicle considered for
an award is rated according to criteria which reflect issues that
are important to women car buyers. These include practical
elements, such as safety, the amount of storage space,
child‑friendliness, environmental performance and value for money,
and also elements such as design aesthetics.
Having achieved the highest marks in the luxury car section, the
Range Rover Evoque went on to be named their Car of the Year.
Although the results have been announced this week, official
presentation of the trophy to Land Rover will take place at the
Paris Motor Show in September.
