Land Rover returns to New York Fashion Week as official
automotive sponsor of the rag & bone and Marchesa shows
(MAHWAH, NJ.) September 5, 2012 ‑ Land Rover North America
announced today that it will once again partner with two renowned
fashion brands, rag & bone and Marchesa, as the official
automotive sponsor during Spring 2013 New York Fashion Week.
"Land Rover is excited to return to New York Fashion Week and
support the creativity and visions of both rag & bone and
Marchesa," said Kim McCullough, Brand Vice President, Land Rover
North America. "Georgina Chapman of Marchesa and Marcus Wainwright
and David Neville of rag & bone are all not only Land Rover
owners personally but also fans of the brand, which is something
important to us when looking to partner with other marquee
brands."
As the official automotive sponsor for rag & bone's Spring
2013 fashion show on September 7, Land Rover will showcase its
award‑winning, Range Rover Evoque, the lightest and most fuel
efficient Range Rover ever. A 2012 Range Rover Evoque Coupe will be
on display at Skylight at Moynihan Station, where rag & bone's
Spring 2013 will take place.
Rag & bone's Managing Partners and Designers Marcus Wainwright
and David Neville will also guest curate a board on Land Rover
USA's official Pinterest Page. Land Rover was the official
automotive sponsor of rag & bone's men's and women's Fall 2011
Fashion Shows as well as the brand's 2011 Fashion's Night Out
event.
In its third consecutive year as the official automotive sponsor
for the Marchesa show, Land Rover will once again provide
transportation in 2012 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles
for VIP and celebrity guests attending this season's show located
in Grand Central Terminal's Vanderbilt Hall on September 12. In
previous years, Range Rover has served as the official automotive
sponsor of Marchesa's Fall 2012, Spring 2012, Fall 2011, and Spring
2011 New York fashion shows.
Marchesa designer and co‑founder Georgina Chapman has previously
worked with the brand as a New York City Shaper to help launch the
all‑new Range Rover Evoque.
