Brand Creates Tribute Using Fan Submitted Images and Stories

(MAHWAH, N.J.) ‑ May 16, 2013 ‑Land Rover North America continues to make its mark in the digital space with its recent accomplishment on Facebook ‑ hitting one million fans in just under three years of being active. To celebrate, the brand has created a video with Facebook fan‑submitted photos and has turned it into a cinematic tribute to Land Rover USA's one million fans. The creative video features photos of Land Rover owners and fans at home, in their towns, with their pets and even how some fans have integrated Land Rover into their special occasions and family outings. Land Rover North America has made social media an essential focus of the brand by engaging its customers and fans on Facebook, Tumblr, YouTube, Google+, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter. These channels have been instrumental in gaining attention for some of Land Rover's latest product launches like the 2013 Range Rover and most recently the all‑new Range Rover Sport.

Land Rover has also recently been recognized for some of its digital efforts being named to Mashable's "10 Brands Doing Tumblr Right" and also listed to Ad Age's " Top Ten Viral Videos" for the recent Range Rover Sport teaser film, which debuted at this year's New York Auto Show.

Creating a video to celebrate this milestone was fitting for Land Rover as it believes producing authentic and interesting adventure video content for its followers is an organic way to keep them engaged in the brand. Recently Land Rover USA debuted a number of video series on its channels centered around travel and adventure such as Peter Bragiel's "InTransit" cross‑country adventure in a Range Rover Sport and Range Rover Evoque; and The Travel Channel host, Don Wildman's "Road to the Unexpected" series.

In addition to highlighting Land Rover's newest product line up, the brand also regularly pays homage to its rich heritage with 'Throw Back Thursday' posts of vintage Land Rover Vehicles and recently celebrated the brand's 65th Anniversary by creating retro Land Rover ads that have been modernized with current Land Rover vehicles.
