(MAHWAH, N.J.) ‑ June 30, 2015 ‑Following the reintroduction of the Discovery nameplate in 2015, Land Rover continues its momentum in 2016 with the introduction of new powertrains, upgraded infotainment and connectivity systems and enhanced driver assistance features across its range of vehicles.
A new 3.0L turbocharged V6 diesel engine is introduced for the first time in the North American market ‑ making its debut on 2016 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models. The Td6 engine produces 254hp and 440 lb‑ft of low end torque maintaining the 7,716lb towing capacity of these vehicles and delivering 0‑60mph1 acceleration times comparable to the higher horsepower V6 gasoline models. Providing exceptional levels of efficiency and refinement, the Td6 engine, when equipped on the 2016 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport, delivers an estimated 22 mpg city, 28 mpg highway and 25 mpg combined6, representing a 32 percent improvement over the gasoline powertrain.
Adding elevated luxury, design sophistication and performance to the Range Rover line‑up, the SVAutobiography is also new for 2016. Replacing Autobiography Black at the top of the Range Rover line‑up, the SVAutobiography is available with a powerful 550hp supercharged V8 engine and features unique interior and exterior design enhancements. Exclusively crafted by the Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) team, the SVAutobiography is the most luxurious and powerful production Range Rover in the model's 45‑year history.
The recipient of more than 165 international awards, the Range Rover Evoque receives a mid‑cycle refresh for 2016. Exterior enhancements include full‑LED headlamps and tail lamps with a new signature design, new front bumper, two new grille designs, new optional paint colors and a new tailgate spoiler. On the inside, the instrument cluster receives an update, new seat designs and color palettes become available and ambient lighting is improved. 2016 Range Rover Evoque models also receive new trim level designations, SE, SE Premium, HSE and HSE Dynamic, bringing the model into alignment with the rest of the Range Rover family of products.

For 2016, Land Rover has strengthened the positioning of the Range Rover Evoque, reinforcing its status in the market as a leader in design.
