(LOS ANGELES, CA) – November 28, 2017 – Land Rover has introduced a new benchmark in the luxury SUV segment with the launch of the 2018 Range Rover SVAutobiography.

The new halo for the Land Rover brand delivers a peerless combination of craftsmanship and technology, epitomizing the pinnacle of luxury travel that the Range Rover brand represents – making every journey a treasured experience whether driving or being driven.

Available exclusively in long wheelbase specification, the 2018 Range Rover SVAutobiography combines advanced new convenience features, including power rear doors that close at the touch of a button and a rear seat refrigerated compartment, creating a sanctuary for relaxation that doubles as a mobile tech hub.

Uprated from 2017MY, the SVAutobiography now features a 557hp 5.0L supercharged V8 gasoline engine mated to a ZF eight‑speed automatic transmission which power the vehicle from 0‑60mph in 5.2 seconds2.

Executive Class Rear Seats are central to the appeal of the luxurious new model. Combined with the long‑wheelbase body, they offer rear legroom of over 3.9ft (1.2m) while deep seat foams with new comfort interlayers deliver enhanced passenger comfort. With powered 40‑degree recline capability, a hot stone massage function, heated calf and foot rests, and 22‑way adjustment, the rear cabin promises a passenger experience second to none.

A dramatic fixed center console extends the full length of the rear cabin and acts as the hub for the second row featuring controls for the power close rear doors, electronically deployable tables, and a refrigerated compartment capable of holding four 20oz bottles or two 750mL bottles and two glasses.

Two 10‑inch integrated rear entertainment screens and 4G WiFi connectivity3 ensure passengers are always connected.

In the front row, the elegant and intuitive Land Rover InControl® Touch Pro Duo™ infotainment system with twin 10‑inch touchscreens provide a well‑integrated media experience while also contributing to a refined interior design4. The upper screen offers controls for commonly used features such as Navigation, Phone, Media, and System Settings, while the lower screen controls climate distribution, seat functions and Terrain Response® settings. Together the screens work seamlessly to deliver unrivalled functionality and ease of use.

For added convenience when transporting cargo, the right‑hand rear seat folds to accommodate long items and customers can also specify a Power Deployable Veneered Loadspace Floor for the first time, making loading and unloading luggage easier than ever.

While convenience features provide a first class customer experience, attention to detail delivers new levels of sophistication throughout the cabin. An exclusive new Zenith clock is positioned on the rear center console facing the rear seats, inspired by the Elite 6150 watch. Its knurled bezel complements the finish on the vehicle’s start/stop button, gear shifter and pedals.

Other interior design elements include a unique new seat design in Poltrona Frau Leather as an option, exclusive aluminum treadplates with illuminated ‘SVAutobiography’ script, two new exclusive veneers, and five revised interior colorways.

On the exterior, the vehicle is differentiated by a unique SVAutobiography grille design with chrome inserts, front, side and rear accents in a Bright Atlas finish, a modified rear bumper with integrated metal tailpipe finishers, and a new exclusive 22‑inch wheel design.

Gerry McGovern, Chief Design Officer, Land Rover, said: “We continue to refine and hone our flagship Range Rover. Highly sophisticated and with a unique combination of British sensibilities, the Range Rover SVAutobiography reinforces Range Rover’s status of peerless excellence.”

The Range Rover SVAutobiography will be hand‑finished exclusively at the SVO Technical Center in Warwickshire, UK, and makes its global motor show debut at the Los Angeles International Auto Show on November 29, 2017. The event will see the new Range Rover SVAutobiography presented alongside the extreme Land Rover Discovery SVX concept and the powerful Range Rover Sport SVR, as well as the driver‑focused SVAutobiography Dynamic; marking the first time the complete SVO product triangle has been displayed together.

John Edwards, Managing Director of Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations, said: “The SVAutobiography badge identifies our most luxurious vehicles in the same way the SVR and SVX monikers denote our most potent and capable derivatives. The arrival of the enhanced Range Rover SVAutobiography further strengthens the peerless luxury pillar of the SV family.”
