WHAT’S NEW FOR LAND ROVER: 2022 MODEL YEAR HIGHLIGHTS

ONE BRAND - THREE FAMILIES

There are three families of vehicles under the Land Rover brand umbrella – Range Rover, Discovery, and Defender – each with its own defining characteristics, personality and positioning; sharing design leadership and a sense of engineering integrity which Land Rover products are best known for. 

• The Range Rover Family was first introduced to the US market in 1987. The Range Rover brand is distinguished by its sense of refinement and outright luxury. Range Rover products are equally at home driving in the countryside as they are chauffeuring passengers to the opera. 
• The Discovery Family bridges the gap between utility and refinement, for absolute versatility. With variable five- and seven-passenger seating options available in both the compact Discovery Sport and full-size Discovery, this family of vehicles utilizes the latest connectivity technologies, innovative storage solutions and on-/off-road capability to shuttle owners and their passengers to and from their commitments in the utmost comfort.
• The Defender Family is the toughest and most capable of the Land Rover brand. The choice of adventurers and expedition leaders for more than 70 years, the iconic 4x4 has been reinvented for the 21st century with the New Defender.

APPLE CARPLAY® AND ANDROID AUTO™

Every vehicle in the 2022 Land Rover lineup is equipped standard with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™(2).

Owners are able to interact with key mobile apps, such as Spotify, WhatsApp and Waze through the vehicle’s touchscreen, in a manner similar to a smartphone. Where equipped, certain functionality can even be controlled via the vehicle’s Voice Control, providing additional convenience. Owners will simply connect their smartphone to the vehicle via a compatible USB cable and select Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™ on the vehicle’s touchscreen(2).

RANGE ROVER FAMILY

2022 RANGE ROVER EVOQUE

The Range Rover Evoque is a sophisticated evolution of the original model that pioneered the luxury compact SUV market. Featuring advanced driver assistance technologies, an available mild hybrid powertrain and innovative off-road technologies, the Range Rover Evoque is at home in both the city and the mountains.

• New Evoque HST, fitted exclusively with a 296hp mild hybrid (MHEV) powertrain, features striking visual design elements, including 20-inch Style ‘5079’ gloss black wheels, red brake calipers, black contrast roof and black exterior design pack
• Additional standard equipment on all 2022 Evoque models now includes heated front seats, wireless smartphone charging with signal booster, power tailgate and keyless entry
• Refined exterior color palette replaces Yulong White with new Ostuni Pearl White

2022 RANGE ROVER VELAR

The Range Rover Velar, the midsize Land Rover luxury SUV which blends sophisticated design and intelligent technology, builds on the significant updates introduced at 2021 model year to deliver even greater refinement.

For 2022, the Range Rover Velar features new driver assistance technologies, comfort and convenience features, and an expanded color palette.

• Optional Cabin Air Ionization with PM2.5 filter is further enhanced to monitor for carbon dioxide in the cabin, while a new Purify Cycle feature allows users to schedule operation before doors are even opened(2)
• Heated front seats fitted standard across the Velar model range deliver greater comfort for driver and passenger
• Expanded suite of available driver assistance technologies features Adaptive Cruise Control with Steering Assist and standard All Terrain Progress Control
• New Ostuni Pearl White and Lantau Bronze exterior metallic paint colors provide customers with more options for personalization

2022 RANGE ROVER SPORT

The Range Rover Sport is a luxury performance SUV with dynamic on-road character as well as all-terrain capability embodying the Land Rover brand’s drive to go above and beyond.

For 2022, the most dynamic Land Rover model features a more focused lineup with a choice of six- and eight-cylinder engines, as well as enhanced connectivity for second row passengers.

• Available powertrains include 355hp and 395hp mild hybrid (MHEV) 3.0-liter turbocharged engines, along with powerful 518hp and 575hp 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engines
• New USB C ports deliver greater connectivity for second row passengers with the latest mobile devices

2022 RANGE ROVER

The original luxury 4x4, Range Rover has evolved over more than 50 years into the world’s most desirable SUV family and remains a benchmark for elegant design, comfort and refinement.

• 2022 lineup features a choice of two mild-hybrid (MHEV) turbocharged six-cylinder and two supercharged eight-cylinder engines
• Optional Cabin Air Ionization with PM2.5 from Nanoe™ filters particulates less than 2.5 micrometers
• Exterior color palette includes 11 Solid, Metallic and Premium Metallic colors, in addition to 20 SVO Ultra Metallic and Special Effect paint colors

DISCOVERY FAMILY

2022 DISCOVERY SPORT

Embracing the adventurous spirit that has defined the Discovery family for more than 30 years, the Discovery Sport is a compact premium SUV that offers the versatility of 5+2(5) seating and no-compromise capability.

• Wireless smartphone charging with signal booster, heated front seats, power tailgate and keyless entry now fitted standard on all 2022 Discovery Sport models
• New Ostuni Pearl White and Lantau Bronze metallic exterior paint colors now available
• Available Third Row Pack features third row seating and cooling vents, as well as USB ports for first, second and third row occupants

2022 DISCOVERY

Combining British desirability with an unstoppable spirit of adventure, the Land Rover Discovery is an authentic, full-size, seven-seat SUV that brings new levels of capability and versatility to the brand family.

The 2022 Discovery features the numerous enhancements introduced at 2021 model year, including a choice of powerful inline four- and six-cylinder powertrains, refined exterior and interior design, advanced technologies and connectivity, and a host of standard equipment to deliver greater value for customers.

• Pivi Pro(2) infotainment features a large 11.4-inch HD touchscreen, connected navigation and advanced connectivity with Software-Over-The-Air updates
• Third row seating, 3D surround camera(4), air suspension, opening panoramic roof are among the expansive suite of standard equipment fitted to the Discovery model range
• Available second generation Activity Key features touchscreen controls and can lock, unlock and start the vehicle as an addition to the conventional fob

DEFENDER FAMILY

2022 DEFENDER

The Land Rover Defender has always been a symbol of strength and the award-winning new model is the toughest and most capable Land Rover vehicle yet, combining a new body structure with all-new technologies and proven hardware to create a Defender that is fit for the 21st century.

• New available 518hp V8 supercharged engine powers fastest and most powerful production Defender ever made; 0-60mph3 in 4.9 seconds, 149mph(3) top speed (Defender 90)
• New V8 Carpathian Edition combines the power and capability of Defender V8 with a unique combination of design elements
• Defender 90 model range grows to include X-Dynamic SE and X-Dynamic HSE, among other new trim levels for 2022
• New Defender 110 XS Edition features rugged exterior design enhancements and comprehensive specification
• New Bright Pack, Extended Bright Pack and Extended Black Pack options provide even greater scope for customer personalization across the Defender lineup
• Optional 11.4-inch touchscreen – over 60 percent larger than the existing 10-inch display – now available for intuitive Pivi Pro(2) infotainment, plus new standard wireless device charging for enhanced convenience
