(MAHWAH, NJ.) April 18, 2012 ‑ Land Rover today announced
that the Range Rover Evoque is honored as one of the 10 Best
Interiors of 2012 by WardsAuto.com.
The award winning 2012 Range Rover Evoque is the company's
lightest and most fuel‑efficient SUV ever. Designed by Gerry
McGovern, Design Director, Land Rover, the Range Rover Evoque
boasts a stylish, urban yet rugged feel. Already the 2012 Range
Rover Evoque has picked up more than 100 international awards
including North American Truck of the Year and World Car design
2012.
"The Range Rover Evoque delivers the core attributes of the
brand, providing premium levels of craftsmanship and luxury in a
more compact package."
With simple, clean lines and a premium feel, the Range Rover
Evoque cabin is marked by quality craftsmanship that defines the
Land Rover brand. As in all Range Rover models, the center console
boasts a dramatic slope and the instrument panel showcases elegant,
horizontal lines. The Range Rover Evoque also features a full‑glass
panoramic roof to enhance the sense of space and freedom.
The interior cabin is packed with clever, relevant technology
which is intuitive for the driver and passengers, including an
eight‑inch touch screen and rotary auto transmission shifter. A
state of the art connectivity package allows the driver and
passengers to safely enjoy the benefits of a wide variety of
portable devices.
The WardsAuto editorial staff selected the 10 winners from a
field of 40 vehicles with new or significantly improved interiors.
There was no price cap on entries.
Editors ranked all 40 nominated interiors based on comfort,
overall value, fit‑and‑finish, ergonomics, safety, material
selection and aesthetics. In addition, judges rated each interior's
human‑machine interface in determining how effectively vehicle
information is communicated to the driver. For more information
